Yesterday, September 1, Jose Mari Chan also appeared on 'Sunday PinaSaya' and sang “Christmas in Our Hearts” with Julie Anne San Jose to jumpstart the season.

The long wait is finally over because the -ber months are finally here and so is Jose Mari Chan!

The 74-year-old singer admits he feels blessed to be remembered during the Christmas season.

“I feel complimented but more than that I feel blessed.

“I feel blessed that I was able to compose that song that hopefully will outlive me,” he says to 24 Oras reporter Aubrey Carampel.

Although he became the face of the season in recent years, Jose claims to keep in mind that Jesus is the real star of the show.

Yesterday, September 1, the crooner also appeared on Sunday PinaSaya and sang “Christmas in Our Hearts” with Julie Anne San Jose to jumpstart the season.

He was also given the “Puso Ng Saya” award by the weekly comedy show.

While receiving the award, he said, “Natutuwa ako… I feel complimented and flattered. I wish they would not make offensive memes.

“You know, this song is a gift from our Lord that I share with our countrymen.”
